Robin Petré is a Danish documentary filmmaker, writer and freelancer working internationally -- partly under her own company name, RAYAK. A traveler at heart, she has studied and worked with film and media in 12 countries spanning across five continents, including Australia, Ecuador, the USA, and Thailand.

In 2015, she graduated with an MA in Documentary Film Directing from Doc Nomads, the European traveling film school encompassing Portugal, Hungary and Belgium. Her graduation film, PULSE, won the Silver Dove for an Outstanding Artistic Contribution at DOK Leipzig (2016) along with a number of other international awards.

Robin is greatly inspired by nature, and her films often relate to environmental concerns while remaining poetic and playful in regards to film language. Her interest in merging experimental techniques with her creative approach to non-fiction cinema has led her to work across both digital and analog film formats. This year, her recent 16mm experimental short film, Stream, was nominated in the Nordic Competition at the 30th Minimalen Short Film Festival in Norway.
