WILDLIFE • 2030

video art installation

artist/director : Robin Petré
artist/photographer : Maria Grazia Goya
sound designer : August Drenck

exhibited at THE KRANE, Nordhavn,
Copenhagen during Åben Festival 2020

WILDLIFE • 2030 makes a fascinating, sensory journey through the process of saving hundreds of wild swans from a catastrophic oil spill — all seen from the birds’ perspective.
The art installation takes a look at the environmental challenges of today while simultaneously presenting a possible future scenario in which even wildlife is dependent on human interference in order to survive in an overindustrialized world.
Merging its video images with the surroundings, the installation allows artwork and reality to impact each other continuously. WILDLIFE • 2030 was first exhibited at THE KRANE, an authentic old coal crane converted into a modern hotel in Nordhavn, Copenhagen.
