Film Director Robin Petré was born and raised in Mols, Denmark. Her work often revolves around human-animal relations and our coexistence with nature. Her films have screened at numerous festivals around the world, and her short film PULSE (2016) won the Silver Dove for An Outstanding Artistic Contribution at DOK Leipzig among other awards. Her feature-length debut, FROM THE WILD SEA (2021), premiered at the 71st Berlin International Film Festival with a nomination for the Berlinale Documentary Award.
Robin Petré holds an MA in Documentary Film Directing from Doc Nomads (2015), the traveling film school spanning across Portugal, Hungary and Belgium. Previously, she earned her BA in Journalism from the Danish School of Media and Journalism.
