Film Director Robin Petré was born and raised in Mols, Denmark. Her work often revolves around human-animal relations and our coexistence with nature. Her films have screened at numerous festivals around the world, and her creative documentary short film PULSE (2016) won the Silver Dove for An Outstanding Artistic Contribution at DOK Leipzig among other awards. She makes her feature-length debut with FROM THE WILD SEA (2021), premiering this year at the 71st Berlin International Film Festival with a nomination for the Berlinale Documentary Award.
Robin holds an MA in Documentary Film Directing from Doc Nomads (2015), the traveling documentary film school spanning across Portugal, Hungary and Belgium. Previously, she earned her BA in Journalism from the Danish School of Media and Journalism. She is part of the Nordic Film Lab 2020, and she’s an IDFAcademy alumna of 2019.
