One of Europe’s largest deer farms lies hidden in the hills of southern Hungary, housing more than 1,500 red deer. The animals were first caught in the surrounding forests only 25 years ago, meaning they are essentially still wild with all their natural instincts intact. Through the perspective of the deer, PULSE reflects on domestication, human-animal relations, and our approach to nature. The film loosely follows the rhythm of the animals’ heart rate fluctuating in synchronicity with the seasons.
